practical train driving with di

the best part to being a train driver is the practical element that is driving under instuction .
you do two hundred and seventy hours , which include forty dark hours .
every day th instuctor has a book that he writes comments about the day and your progress and anything new that you might have experianced .

year in training school for train drivers

the year was most fruite ful full of presure and fun .
the best was that we were being paid for the work being taught
i loved the latest teaching aids like projection and flat fst televisions .
air conditioned rooms .
free hot drinks .
and short working hours .
the teachers were profesionals .
full of knowledge .
we also had simulators which were very good to get the feel of the train driving in simulation .
the stationary was provided .
we had out days to variouse signal box and multi spad locations .
had mini exhams every week and big 3 exhams for us to proceed to next level
the course was divided in to three parts one was rules two was traction and the third was practical with a driving instructor .
we had to fix amount of driving hours with our instuctor .which included dark hours .
after the final exham which lasted one week.i was awarded a key to drive trains .this was the best day of my life a sense of achivement in lif e.

aptitude test

i would like to inform you all that i have attended a aptitude test in being a train driver .
it was a very intensive day with about six differnent tests .some were practical and some were written .
after each test one person was rejected to wards the end there were only two left .
i was very nervouse .
we were given a break for half an hour .
when we returned the examiner informed us that we bouth had passed the assesment test for trainee train drivers .
i was given a job with one years paid traing school ,this is where my real learning will take place .
